To some it is boring, but to other's that is what they live to do. Mancos has a small Renaissance Fair that occurs around the last weekend of June. There are many Renaissance fair related vendors, actors, and dancers. For those that like Knights fighting the SCA sponsors a heavy fighting, and Rapier contest. There is also many demonstrations of various medieval skills.

For later in the year there is a Renaissance Fair held in Farmington, Mew Mexico. About 60 short miles south east of Mancos. Their Fair is held usuall on during third weekend of October.
